So my grandma had a Rainbow in the mid 1980s. She loved it and years later I moved to another state and I remembered her Rainbow when I was looking for a vacuum for my new house. I called Rainbow and bought one. I didn't even want them demo. I bought brand new a gold 2 speed in summer 2006. I never let anyone use it but me. I have 2 cats. I've never had problems with clogs. I'm reading through the reveiws about clogs. I suppose that could happens with an unusually large amount of hair. Anyway, I've used my machine a lot over the years, even to clean the garage floor with the squeegee....

Last year, my rainbow stopped working. I took it to the Rainbow place here in Lexington and they called me and said it was the control board and those models from 2004 to 2009 had a lot of warranty problems so the company made a much better board, which he installed. He said he's never seen a rainbow as old as mine that clean, even the fans didn't need cleaning. These machines are not for everyone because some people just don't want to deal with the setup, storage. I don't mind it because in the long run I don't have to clean as often.

We have owned the Rainbow since April 2020 and my mom has not been to the ER not once since we got it. If you knew my mom you would know how amazing that is and how it has changed her life for the better. This machine is worth every penny!!!! #ilovemyrainbow

I have a cleaning service so I have seen and used many, many vacuums over the years and spent much money doing so. I have never had anything that cleans as thoroughly as the Rainbow. It's way more than a vacuum. The fact that it is also a house purifier, capable of purifying the air of 3,000 sq ft in 30 minutes is incredible. It has helped my children with their allergies by keeping the air clean. I have unclogged drains with it as well. The carpet shampooer and the mop and brush for scrubbing floors is a time saver and it really works.

I would rather pay more for something that is good quality and works than buy many vacuums, shampooers etc that I end up throwing out. What vacuum has ever done all of these things? None. Honestly I refer to it as a rainbow system. The incentive rainbow offers works, you can literally get your rainbow for free. Plus the capability of getting the extra attachments free. It comes with an incredible warranty. They are built to last. I have friends that have had rainbows for 20 yrs or better.

This is the worst purchase my husband and I have ever made. It gets clogged every time I use it. I have one dog and 2 cats. I have to fully take the head of the vacuum apart to unclog it. Get half way through my living room then have to unclog it. This wasn't worth the $2300 we paid for. After we had purchased this I tried to contact my salesman for attachments. Never heard back from him. EVER! I wouldn't recommend buying this product. Customer service is absolutely terrible along with the product. Plus they won't leave your house until you say yes to purchasing it.

I see some people dislike their rainbow vacuums, but my experience using and owning a rainbow is a positive one and I've owned 2 over the past 40 years. No bags to buy, works great on carpet and on flat bare floors, and of course you can vacuum up water with them. Keeping the water basin clean after each use makes a very big difference in keeping the motor fresh and clean, which allows the air going into the room fresh and clean. You can add a scent to the water like a drop of spearmint oil and it makes the air smell even nicer. I have not once had any failures with a rainbow, they are well made, although I do not own one of their newest models, but family members do and they have had no problems at all, I love my Rainbow!

I purchased November 2019, here in Greece. February 2020 arrived. Serius problems.

1. Many times at startup there is problem with the 10 amp electrical panel relay. Serious problem. The SRX get more than 10 amp and cut off electricity.
2. The air outlet is very strong and parallel with the floor and is not very good for your health.
3. The nozzle is not working, not cleaning well as the model E2 who I ve got. And blocked lot of times on carpet. The distributor replaced the main electronic board.

4. The serious problem is the electrical panel relay. In every startup I've got problem with the electric power.

I have got many videos with the problems, if you want to see.

A friend sent me a simple form to fill out and a picture of a Rainbow. Says it's free, file the form and I did. I got a call later and he said I'm not qualified. Later another person called to say the same but, "You are considered". He showed up with big box and the rainbow I saw in the picture and told me he is going to demonstrate, demo turned out to be the big machine in the box. Then turned to become a vacuum. At the end destroyed my Dormeo mattress which is just equivalent to the big machine. He was very much concerned about the machine not my property destroyed.

After everything he then again, "Because you are not married you are not qualified". I asked him, "Why did you show up if I am not qualified." His answers was company policy. I said to him I do not even know about any vacuum or demo. He went away without concern of the damage cause in my house. Zero rating even though machine look amazing. Regretful and disappointed.

Have had my Rainbow for a yr, as I purchased for having a whole lot of carpet. Since then, I have moved to 2 rooms of carpet. Anyway, the power nozzle stopped working and when I called to see if it's covered, was told that I will have to drive an hour out of my way to find out. I am spending $4k on this and nobody is willing to come to me, waste of money and stuck! Would be different if they could send a tech out to look. It's like with my washer/dryer that I pay, if I have problem, someone comes out!

I'll make this short and to the point. Anyone that has purchased a Rainbow knows how the demonstration go. My main purpose of getting this machine was because I have pets and I made that very clear, several times during the visit. My salesman was a guy named Josh, from the Rainbow system business in Columbus Ga. I had several issues with him during this whole ordeal, but he didn't care because he had done made the sell. So our first time using the vacuum through out the entire house was a nightmare, not only was it heavy, but continued to get clogged up over and over. So you have to stop, turn it off, take the pieces off, clean all around the areas and hope you have gotten it all, or you have to do it again.

During this time, I'm texting Josh, the salesmen telling him what's going on, and guess what!!! No response, none, nothing. For the cost of this machine it should suck a whole in the wall, but instead gets clogged up with dog hair! I mean really! The main reason I got it! And it can't even do what I got it for. I've tried emailing the company, haven't heard a word from them! So if any of your friends or family speak of a Rainbow, tell them to run. Don't get in a $3000 loan for a piece of crap!

A friend of mine asked if my husband and I would participate in a Rainbow Vacuum demonstration. We agreed. The demonstration went fine. We agreed to purchase a Rainbow Vacuum on the 12 showing and 2 purchases. We went through The Rainbow Financial to finance the vacuum. We were rushed through the whole process. When I would ask what the total was. The rep would dance around my question. Later after everything settled down I got out what paper work was left. As I was looking over the contract, barely able to make out the numbers. I make out the total of $ 4895.00. I look at my husband, I asked him if he knew how much he was paying for the vacuum if we could not pull off the 12 shoes and 2 sales.

The next day I started contacting friends to see if any would like to participate. All said no money was tight because of covid-19. One even told me she had hers Rainbow for sale. So my husband and I decided to cancel our purchase. Upon reading the contract it stated that we had 3 days to take the contract to REXAIR to cancel the contract. Now at the bottom of the REXAIR CONTRACT SAYS.

You may cancel contract without Penalty or obligation. My husband took the copy of the contract to Rexair as was stated in the contract. Also stated in the contract was The seller is responsible for picking up the merchandise within 20 day OR if you wish comply with the seller's wishes. My Husband was called at work by Rexair and told that if he did not bring the merchandise to their store that they would not cancel the contract. The representatives of Rexair spoke very ugly to my husband and hung up on him. Needless to say this whole situation has made where I will not bother with ever purchasing a Rainbow Vacuum ever again.

If you have hardwood floors or tile floors this system is not good for them. You have to vacuum the floors repeatedly because the vacuum blows the particles around. They also stated the system had an automatic shutoff but it does not. The vacuum runs with no water in it so you have to constantly watch it so it does not run on empty. For the amount of money you spend that's the least it could do.

I purchased system a month ago. I rate my sales person as a 5 star. She gave a thorough demonstration of the system and what it could do, did not try to pressure me into enrolling in the program to earn a free system when I declined, did not pressure me to purchase the night of the demonstration, returned my texts promptly while I negotiated my contract terms. The SYSTEM is amazing. I have used every tool that has come with it and my 60 year old house is clean and fresh. While it is bulky and not for someone only interested in hitting the high spots, if you want one machine that can truly do it all this one is it. It works on water and HEPA filtration, so the water tank has to be cleaned out after each use, and reset with fresh sanitizer and fragrance (optional).

The air wash mode sounds like a plane in your house but in 30 Minutes you appreciate the noise as your air is fresh and clean. Running it on the lowest level 24/7 makes a low hum and keeps the air clean in between washes. This one machine replaced my vacuum, my shop vac, my hard floor duster and my hardfloor power cleaner as well as my Rug shampooer. I haven't used the broom in a month! A closet full of machines reduced down to a shelf of accessories. Yes it is pricey. But worth every penny of the purchase price. Totally sold on this machine.

I have had Rainbow vacuums since 1979. I currently have the E2 type 12 Black and it better than the last E series that I have had since 1999. I am on my 3rd one and it is the best vacuum I have ever used. I have had pets and it is the only choice for a vacuum if you have them. It is costly but worth the money. The water filter is the best as it keeps the exhaust exceptionally clean and does not disperse it back into the air. If you have allergies this is the only machine in my opinion.

Moved to a new home. Old last home had central vac. We purchased our Rainbow vacuum close to 32 years ago for our first home and recently resurrected it. Powerful, effective, versatile. Uses a water tank. Amazing how much this vacuum picks up. With 2 dogs easily takes care of their hair as well. Attachments are easy to use.

I had a Dyson and thought that was a very good vacuum. However, once I tried the Rainbow, I was extremely happy with it and bought it immediately. It cleans so much better than my Dyson or any other vacuum I have. There is clean and then there is C L E A N!

Using the Rainbow with everything going through a water filter has really helped the dust and my allergies. Don't have to worry about dust from the vacuum being blown everywhere. It has been a plus to own.

I've had my Rainbow for 15 years and it still works great! No bags to buy--ever! I love how much dirt, sand and hair it gets out of my home. My favorite thing has to be the fact that it uses water as a filter, so the dust that get vacuumed up never goes back into my home.

I have used and owned MANY vacuums in my 50 years of life. We received the in-home demonstration for the Rainbow with no intention of buying, but planning to enjoy the free room air purifier. The cleaning this machine offers is far SUPERIOR to anything I have ever seen or used! The unit doesn't utilize a bag to trap the dirt, but water, and I've never seen a clean like it. An added bonus in that it freshens the air in your home as it cleans. The retail price is high, nearly $3000.00, but they offer incentives and discounts. There is a 15-year warranty standard on the machine, but I personally know people that have had their vacuum for over 25 years and it still works as well as the day they bought it! When it comes to vacuums it is best to choose quality of quantity, so choose Rainbow!

Rainbow Vacuums do a great job and great for people with asthma. Vacuum can also be used for air purifier. Vacuum also pulls carpet fibers up when cleaning leaving a soft carpet to walk on. Highly recommended.

I've been a Rainbow vacuum owner and promoter since 1992. I bought a used one for $300. Had problems with fleas & dust before that purchase and never again. I ended up buying a new one about 5-years because I broke a piece of the old one. My family & friends who have other popular brands borrow my Rainbow for a "thorough" cleaning. Pricey but worth it. Some friends are in their 5+ vacuum purchases. I'm on 2.

I have used this vacuum for over 20 years. I never have to buy bags or filters. The carpet beater attachment went out about 10 years ago and was fixed by a repair service. Still working today with 3 teens!

When my wife empties the container after one room, it is disgusting to see what we breathe daily into our lungs. This is a perfect vacuum cleaner with receiving clean air after vacuuming. With the Covid-19 virus; I am very comfortable knowing this vacuum is cleaning the floor and carpet thoroughly.

Updated on 04/27/2020: If you look through the reviews, I left one earlier in the month of April (2020) and how it ended with them texting me, during this COVID crisis trying to again, even though I don't qualify, sell me a $3000 vacuum. Well today, I get another text asking if I want another free Rainbow RainMate with no demo for simply posting them on social media? Why would I want to advertise for people that are this shady. And I had to wait almost 3 weeks for my first rainmate. I was also told it has an auto turn off when there is no water left. Mine keeps on going which can't be safe. The thing is also super loud with only one speed. You cannot watch tv without cranking the volume when that thing is going. This company is absolutely ridiculous. STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COST.

Original Review: Omgosh. What a nightmare. Started with winning a mini rainbow purifier. Made an appt as they said they'd "show" me how to use it. Little did I know, it was for a $3000 vacuum which they said was actually a purifier. They showed up to my house with a used mini purifier and with all these big boxes. After 3 hours of previewing, they told me I actually didn't qualify because I was a single woman on disability. They had me vacuum over the same spot 20 times after using my vacuum to show me how much gets left behind. Ummmm, if your vacuum is so great, shouldn't it had picked up the remaining debris after the first 5-6 strokes rather than 20??? It seems like flawed logic to me.

I did actually like the thing for air quality purposes. You could smell the difference so she called her manager to see if they could get me a deal given my circumstances (being ill) and her manager was absolutely ignorant and rude. They said if I bought it right then, they'd give me $700 off. I said I had to think about it. She tried to leave the product here and thank God I pushed her for a few days as I learned after, if she had left it, I only had 3 days to return it & by all the reviews I read after she left, it was next to impossible. So she left with it but also didn't give me the free mini after taking up 3 hours of my day. I had to contact a manager to get it as she wouldn't reply to me. I'm assuming she felt like an ** because she left it in my yard over knocking. This all happened about 6 months ago.

Today, during the corona virus lockdown, I get a text from her offering the vacuum again but $800 off. Are. You. Kidding. Me? People are losing their jobs, can't leave the house & you're trying to sell me at $3000 vacuum that you have to earn the extra prices for, for $2200. Oh, but hey, they offered a free $40 scent for the water. Unbelievable. Talk about shady. Her reasoning, but we all need clean air during this time. Ok, that's true but considering we are not allowed to be in contact with other people for God knows how long, how am I supposed to "earn" the pieces? So basically, I'd be paying $3000 anyway. You guys are pathetic.

I have always like the Rainbow products. Until I purchased 1 myself. I hate this vacuum. I handle is not sturdy. It gets stopped up. It add a lot more work to the job. I would much rather use my Shark. It isn't any different than my old vacuum. Except it makes for a lot more work. I regret buying this vacuum. And would love to be able to return it!

I bought the vacuum 30 days ago and we have 6 cats who create a big mess. When the guy came, James ** he did the demo in the living room. I never thought to do it in the kitchen area where the litter box was. The next day I started vacuuming and it did great everywhere but the kitchen. I did different settings, attachments, looked for clogs, nothing. I contacted to office, no one would call me back, finally I called another number and they said it was probably clogged, I stated they were crazy. That I checked it inside and out and every attachment, that I wanted a refund and if I had to pay a fee I would. I was told no!!! The vacuum is not capable of picking up heavy stuff like litter on an everyday basis, it's too harsh for it, it's going to break. This company is the worse ever, please do your homework before buying.

I have tried to schedule a demo 3 times over a year. Finally, someone there said I do not qualify. Why is that? Because I'm single!?!? Can this company be any more discriminate than this? A single person cleans their home, whether they own or rent, or maybe live somewhere for free. A single person makes good money, possibly even more than some couple's combined income. A single person is responsible and can make decisions on their own. The list goes on. The Rainbow Company should be made to stop this practice, as they claim to strictly abide by a code of ethics. Huh? Something smells fishy and it might be their vacuum cleaners & supplies.

The vacuum I absolutely love. It cleans well and smells great. The price is way too pricey at nearly 5000. Now I did the demo and for a mom of 6 I knew I needed this but I wish I would have had the true facts. I was told if I set bookings before midnight I would win prizes, I did that and still havent won anything. They tell me I had to book before the demonstration lady left (that's not what I was told). Next I was told show 6 you get half off show 12 and sale 2 it's paid for only to find out you still have to sale 2 no matter what and plus the qualifications are super hard to meet.

If a item isnt covered fully by credit you dont get the credit, showing must be a couple, have income and not disability, be 21 to 60, and have their own place. I have worked so hard trying to get my showings but it's been very hard and with the virus going around it's hard to get bookings in the time frame provided. All and all I like my rainbow but the price is outrageous and sales need to be more upfront and honest with their customers.

I bought this from a sales man about a year ago. He was nice and the demo was just fine, nothing wrong with it as long as you know what you're getting yourself into. It seemed to work pretty well the first 5 months or so. Just last night I was vacuuming my upstairs and the stairs, my husband came home and said it was SO dusty has he walked inside from the FRONT door and as he was coming upstairs it go worse. This is not the first time this happened. Even as I clean my small carpet downstairs with the carpet attachment, dusty flies up everywhere. I have an old original Craftsman house where rooms are distinct rooms and so having a good vacuum to get dust out is a must. Unfortunately when the sales man came he convinced me to give him my Dyson, and I desperately wish I still had my Dyson vacuum. Maybe I got a faulty one? But right now for me it definitely was not worth the money.

I was outside and a man stopped to chat about an air purifier and ask if I'd like to put my name in to win one. What he didn't tell me is that he was a door to door salesman peddling the Rainbow Vacuum systems nor did he tell me everyone who had a demonstration got an mini air purifier free. It was downhill from there. We made an appointment for a week later and he showed up.

Initially he came in with the mini air purifier and did a spiel on it and put some stinky aromatic oils in which caused my house to smell awful. After about 30 minutes he finally told me what he was really selling after he went out and bought in a really large box with the rainbow vacuum. I asked the price but he wouldn't tell me.... I should have known then but I kept listening. 2 hours later he finally told me the bargain price of $2999.00. I was like WTF? Are you kidding me. I declined to purchase even after pressure and being told I could finance interest free. It took another 30 minutes for him to clean up his mess. I noticed he repacked the vacuum that he used just like it was brand new... ugh! As he was leaving he told me my neighbors won the drawing for the mini air purifier but not to tell them the price of the vacuum. I'm sure like me they had no idea he was peddling vacuums.

If that wasn't shady enough he called me a week later to ask me if I was related to someone else in our mountain community with the same last name and to say they won the drawing... OOPS, thought my neighbors won! That whole spiel about winning a mining air purifier is just a scam to get in your door and waste your time. Don't fall for the one armed bandit and don't get suckered.

The vacuum claims to throw clean air out with no odor. LIE! The vacuum collects dust and hair in the tubes, and hose. If you pass thru anything wet or damp and move to dry area, The tube and hose becomes encased in hard clay like debris. Vacuum clogged daily, many times. Loses suction after about 4 months becomes clogged. Every ten mins I unclogged tubes. The smell of mold or vacuum smell from the tubing blows out no matter of the water filter. Ask them to demonstrate on a used product. I've had it 6 months and had 3 connections break. Horrible scam. Buy regular vacuum. Save money and credit. Scam. DEMONSTRATORS ARE SCAMMING YOU AND POOR PEOPLE INTO OBTAINING CREDIT THEY WOULD NORMALLY NOT GET TO GET $4000 over 36 months. Scam!!!! They Refused to take it back! And attack your credit.
